These cookies come together quickly thanks to three household ingredients. These ingredients appear in almost every cookie recipe I create, so they’re very flexible. I start by lining my cookie sheets with parchment paper. They’re offered in sizes that precisely fit a 12×16 cookie sheet, allowing cookies to bake without sticking and without the hassle of putting oil on the cookie pans!

A KitchenAid mixer is the second item on the list. Mine is fantastic! I have a Bosch as well, but I like to bake with my KitchenAid. Every mixer comes with a cookie paddle that you can connect to the top of the mixer. They’re simple to use and aid in consistent mixing of the components.

A cookie scoop is the third item on the list! I used to measure and scrape cookie dough onto the pans using two spoons years ago. It wasn’t an ideal method, and I often ended out with oblong biscuits of varying sizes. What’s my solution? An ice cream scoop! 1/2 tablespoon, 1.5 tablespoon, and 3 tablespoon scoops are available. For this and most other cookies, I used the medium size- 1.5 tbsp. (However, I use the tiny cookie scoop when serving a big group.) People prefer a smaller cookie, particularly when there are many different sweets to choose from.) I used the medium scoop and even the big 3 TBSP scoop for a few cookies in this Peanut Butter Cookie recipe!

Chocolate chips are often seen in peanut butter cookies. Yes, we made a change! I decided to create the ULTIMATE peanut butter cookie recipe by using not just semi-sweet chocolate chips, but also peanut butter chips, tiny Reese’s Pieces, and normal Reese’s Pieces in this recipe. What’s the end result? A delicious soft peanut butter cookie that’s also a lot of fun! You are free to use a combination of all the chocolate and candy, like we did, as long as the total volume is about 2 cups. I went ahead and put some more on top because, well, why not?!

Peanut Butter Cookies from Reese’s

  • a pound of peanut butter
  • 2 TBSP softened butter + 1/2 cup
  • 1/2 cup sugar (granulated)
  • a half cup of brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • a quarter cup of milk
  • 1 teaspoon extract de vanille
  • a half cup of flour
  • 1 tblsp baking soda
  • a half teaspoon of salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips/Pieces Reese’s

To create Peanut Butter Cookies, follow these steps:

  1. Cream together the peanut butter, butter, white sugar, and brown sugar with a hand mixer until smooth.

  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, and vanilla extract.

  3. In a separate basin, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.

  4. Mix together the flour mixture and the peanut butter mixture. Mix in your favorite combination of chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, tiny Reese’s Pieces, and normal Reese’s Pieces! I used approximately 1/2 cup of each, with some Reese’s Pieces set aside for the tops of the cookies.

  5. Scoop tablespoons of dough and shape into balls with your hands.

  6. Place biscuits 2 inches apart on cookie pans lined with parchment paper. Additional Reese’s Pieces should be pressed into each cookie dough ball.

  7. Preheat oven to 375°F and bake for 8-10 minutes. Don’t overcook your food! These cookies are considerably better when they are soft and just just cooked through. I cooked the 1.5 TBSP cookies for 8 minutes and the 3 TBSP cookies for 10 minutes using the medium 1.5 TBSP scoop.
